December 17-21

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We are getting close to Christmas break and have quite a few things coming up in the next two weeks. Here are a few announcements:

Exam week for high school starts on Tuesday, December 18th - Friday, December 21st. High school is dismissed at 12:00 on Wednesday- Friday. If you plan on getting your elementary student early those days please let us know so we can make arrangements.

School will dismiss early on December 21st at 11:50 am.

The AISA canned food drive begins today, December 3, and continues through January 25.
 
 PLAS asking each student to please bring $2.00 as a love offering for Mr. Willie and Mr. Ray for Christmas.  Each homeroom teacher is ask to collect the money and bring to the office by  Wednesday.  Thanks for all you do for the students and faculty of PLAS.
 
We are getting our picture made for DHR tomorrow. Please send a hat/elf hat with your child for the picture.
 
We still need 2 desserts from Ms. Sanders Class and two chips from my class for the Christmas party Wednesday.
 
Please don't forget to bring the gift card to swap. Please only put To: A boy or To: A girl.  Each child can bring a drink with a cap on it. PLEASE NO energy drinks!
 
The flu continues to hit our class. Please remind your child to wash their hands.

Also, if a student misses Thursday or Friday they do not have to make up any work.

December 10-14

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We are getting close to Christmas break and have quite a few things coming up in the next two weeks. Here are a few announcements:

December 12th- $5.00 for DHR. Please send cash!
December 14th - $4.00 for our pizza for the Christmas Party. The Christmas party is December 19th.

December 3-7

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Here are a few announcements for this week and upcoming weeks:

Monday, December 3, will be the Termite/Pee Wee Banquet at 6:00 pm.

Tuesday, December 4, the JV girls and boys and Varsity girls and boys Basketball teams will travel to Abbeville with a start time of 4:00 pm.

Friday, December 7, the JV girls and boys and Varsity girls and boys Basketball teams will face Glenwood at home with a start time of 3:30 pm.

The AISA canned food drive begins today, December 3, and continues through the month of January.

Thursday, December 6, there will be a PTO meeting at 6:00 pm.

Friday, December 7, the Patriot Marketplace will be set up in the PLAS Cafetorium from 9:00 am until 7:30 pm. 
We will have entertainment at the Marketplace and several vendors will be here with a fantastic  variety of products, so come get some Christmas shopping done with the Patriots!!


We need:
$4.00 for the pizza party by Dec. 14th
$5.00 for the DHR Christmas for the children that need our help by Dec. 12th

November 26-30

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday!!

 Here are a few announcements for this week:

The Termite and Pee Wee Banquet will be December 3, 2012.

Veggie orders are due this Friday.


The 4-H Archery Club will meet tonight at 5:30 at the Cattleman’s Park.  This club is for youth ages 9 and up.  For more information, contact the Pike County Extension Office.

This year's Patriot Marketplace will be December 7th from 9:00am to 7:30pm.

The PTO is sponsoring themed gift baskets to be a part of the silent auction. By November 30th, each student needs to bring an item ( no matter how large or small ) to add to our 6th grade basket.

Our 6th Grade theme is Kitchen items.

Each grade level has a different theme, and all the baskets will be on display for the auction throughout the holiday market.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and a great Veterans Day.

Here are a few announcements for this week:


Due to the Thanksgiving assembly and Pike Liberal Arts serving as host for the AISA Tripleheader at Troy University we will be on a modified schedule and will dismiss all students at noon on Friday, November 16.  Lunch will be served to K4-6th.  There will be afterschool that day.

Thanksgiving holidays will be November 19th- 23rd. NO SCHOOL!! Enjoy your break!
