I know it says on the blog that we will have our reading and spelling test Thursday, but due to an assembly we didn't get finished. Reading and vocabulary test will be FRIDAY!!!!

January 14-18

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Here are a few announcements for this week:

Report Cards are due back on Friday the 18th

The Blue Jean Ball will be held on February 23, 2013, at the Troy Country Club.  Entertainment will include "County Line" featuring Benji Sanders and there will be a silent auction. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple.  Hors d'oeuvres are included in the ticket price. You can contact the PLAS office for more information.

The Can-A-Thon continues through January 25th.my homeroom: 10 cans will get your child a homework pass!  Please bring in your cans by then. 

We are out on January 21st in observance of Martin Luther King JR. day.

Please check your child's communication folder. The school is selling yoyos and cookie dough.

January 7-11

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!! Here are a few announcements for this week and upcoming weeks:

-Report Cards will be going out Thursday, January 10th.

-Tuesday, January 8, all Pike basketball teams travel to Macon-East with the JV Girls game tipping off at 4:00 pm.

-Thursday, January 10, all Pike basketball teams face Evangel at home with the JV Girls game tipping off at 4:00 pm.

-All basketball games on Friday, January 11, at Fort Dale have been cancelled.

December 17-21

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We are getting close to Christmas break and have quite a few things coming up in the next two weeks. Here are a few announcements:

Exam week for high school starts on Tuesday, December 18th - Friday, December 21st. High school is dismissed at 12:00 on Wednesday- Friday. If you plan on getting your elementary student early those days please let us know so we can make arrangements.

School will dismiss early on December 21st at 11:50 am.

The AISA canned food drive begins today, December 3, and continues through January 25.

 

 PLAS asking each student to please bring $2.00 as a love offering for Mr. Willie and Mr. Ray for Christmas.  Each homeroom teacher is ask to collect the money and bring to the office by  Wednesday.  Thanks for all you do for the students and faculty of PLAS.

 

We are getting our picture made for DHR tomorrow. Please send a hat/elf hat with your child for the picture.

 

We still need 2 desserts from Ms. Sanders Class and two chips from my class for the Christmas party Wednesday.

 

Please don't forget to bring the gift card to swap. Please only put To: A boy or To: A girl.  Each child can bring a drink with a cap on it. PLEASE NO energy drinks!

 

The flu continues to hit our class. Please remind your child to wash their hands.

Also, if a student misses Thursday or Friday they do not have to make up any work.

 

December 10-14

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We are getting close to Christmas break and have quite a few things coming up in the next two weeks. Here are a few announcements:

December 12th- $5.00 for DHR. Please send cash!
December 14th - $4.00 for our pizza for the Christmas Party. The Christmas party is December 19th.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Here are a few announcements for this week and upcoming weeks:

Monday, December 3, will be the Termite/Pee Wee Banquet at 6:00 pm.

Tuesday, December 4, the JV girls and boys and Varsity girls and boys Basketball teams will travel to Abbeville with a start time of 4:00 pm.

Friday, December 7, the JV girls and boys and Varsity girls and boys Basketball teams will face Glenwood at home with a start time of 3:30 pm.

The AISA canned food drive begins today, December 3, and continues through the month of January.

Thursday, December 6, there will be a PTO meeting at 6:00 pm.

Friday, December 7, the Patriot Marketplace will be set up in the PLAS Cafetorium from 9:00 am until 7:30 pm. 

We will have entertainment at the Marketplace and several vendors will be here with a fantastic  variety of products, so come get some Christmas shopping done with the Patriots!!

We need:

$4.00 for the pizza party by Dec. 14th
$5.00 for the DHR Christmas for the children that need our help by Dec. 12th
